WILFORD SCHOOL:  A Responsive School
The Children's Commissioner has recently published a document "Responsive Schools" by Janis Carroll-Lind, that summarises key messages from the Office of the Children's Commissioner's inquiry into school safety.  Wilford School was chosen as a school that demonstrated best practice through the use of cognitive behaviour therapy (Choice Theory and Reality Therapy).

The document describes, through case studies, how schools created safe learning environments for their students.

You can access this document on the Office of the Children's Commissioner's website:  http://www.occ.org.nz (refer to pages 37-40).  Schools are not named in this document.

We are proud to have been included in this document.
